Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Mersch home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Mersch.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Mersch home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hello there! My name is Sérgio, and I'm originally from Portugal but have been calling Luxembourg home for the last seven years. While I don't have my own dog right now, my heart is full of love for them. I'd be absolutely thrilled to share some of that love with your furry friend! I was lucky enough to be the proud dog-parent to a smart and spirited mixed-breed named Kika for 12 wonderful years.I've had the pleasure of caring for all sorts of amazing pups over the years, from small to medium-sized breeds and everything in between. I have a soft spot for feisty Dachshunds and big-hearted Staffies, but I truly fall in love with every dog I meet. Each one has a unique personality, and getting to know them is always the best part of the job!I live in a cozy duplex apartment in Blaschette, and it's a perfect spot for dogs—we're right on the doorstep of a forest! That means endless adventures and long, sniff-filled walks are a daily guarantee. When we're not exploring, you'll find me playing a rousing game of fetch, kicking a football around, or, my personal favorite, settling in for some serious bed cuddles. For me, pet sitting isn't just a job; it's a joyful way to spend my time. My partner happily joins in on this adventure and cares for the dogs as much as I do— she's a 'dog mum in her heart! I understand how much your dog means to you, and I promise to treat them as if they were my own, ensuring they're safe, happy, and showered with affection. To keep all our furry friends healthy and safe, I kindly ask that all dogs be up-to-date on their vaccinations and that we meet in advance to ensure a bound is created. I can't wait to meet your sweet pup and become their new best friend!

I’ve always had a soft spot for animals, especially cats, so becoming a pet sitter felt like the most natural thing in the world for me. I genuinely enjoy spending time with pets, getting to know their little quirks, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I know how stressful it can be to leave your furry family member behind, so my goal is to give you peace of mind and give your cat a calm, caring companion.
I’ve looked after cats for friends and family over the last few years. I take the time to understand what each cat needs, whether that’s playtime, cuddles or simply someone who respects their space.
For everyone’s safety, I only welcome vaccinated pets into my home.
I’m here to make their stay as smooth and stress‑free as possible, and to help you enjoy your time away knowing your loved one is in gentle, caring hands!

Hello! I’m a dedicated animal lover who understands that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. Having grown up around animals and cared for pets for friends, family, and neighbors for several years, I’ve gained experience with energetic puppies, senior pets, shy cats, and small animals that need extra patience and attention.
I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and pet sitting services. Walks typically last 30–60 minutes and are tailored to your dog’s age, fitness level, and preferences. During visits, I provide feeding, fresh water, playtime, companionship, and any routine care your pet requires. I always aim to keep pets on their normal schedule to help them feel comfortable and secure.
I carefully manage my bookings to ensure every pet receives plenty of individual attention and is never rushed. I adapt my approach to each animal, whether they enjoy active play, long walks, or simply a calm presence nearby. Safety is my top priority during walks and visits, and I closely follow owners’ instructions. In case of an emergency, I will contact you immediately and follow your preferred emergency plan.
I am comfortable caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small pets. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free experience for both pets and owners, giving you peace of mind while you’re away.

I moved to Luxembourg a year ago. I'm working as a tax consultant in one of the Big 4s. Prior to this I was pursuing my Masters in University of Amsterdam, Amsterdam.I grew up in Chennai (South India). I've had pets since I was a kid (all thanks to my dad!) - two dogs and five cats so far. I enjoy spending time with them and ergo I have known love and happiness all my life . I have also volunteered (briefly) in an animal shelter and I have fostered a few pets. I can assure you I am a caring and a responsible pet sitter. I am mindful to the concerns of the pet/s and the pet owners and would love to hear them Do message me if you're looking for someone to take care of your pet, to:+ Take them on walks,+ Check-in when your pets are alone,+ Pet-sit until you return, or+ Stay over to keep your pet feel safe and comfortable. For the first 3 services, I'm available on Friday evenings and the weekends. My work timings will not permit me to do justice to take care. For the last service, I am available all days if you're comfortable that I will be working in office from 9 AM- 6 PM and can care for your pet only after work. Unfortunately, I am not open to boarding pets at my place due to no pet policy of my current residence. Do message me if you would like to know more about me or want to do a quick meet up (along with your pet ofc).

I live in Gonderange, Junglinster with my two cats and have been a pet lover ever since I was a kid. I love playing with animals and getting to know their unique personalities. I recently took a break from my corporate career to pursue a master's degree and now have the flexibility to care for pets. I am a punctual and trustworthy person who will make sure your pet is in loving hands.
I offer to stay with your pet for around 30-45 minutes, twice a day if needed (I can also stay overnight if needed). I offer 30-45 minutes walks. Whether it’s walking your dog, cleaning the litter, providing food and fresh water, or playing and entertaining your pet, I will ensure they are well cared for. We can also discuss any special needs your pet may have. I will send you pictures after each visit so you can rest assured your little one is happy and comfortable while you’re away.
You can feel confident and safe knowing your pet will be treated with the same love and attention I give to my own.

Mfg Ricardo

I’ve had extensive hands-on experience caring for dogs with different needs. I had my own Boxer for five wonderful years after adopting him from a shelter when he was two years old. He had been abandoned at around six months of age and, as a result, was extremely reactive and aggressive toward other dogs and some people. He required a great deal of patience, consistent training, and a calm, structured environment.
Over time, he transformed completely. He had a severe skin condition due to stress from his time at the shelter. His progress was so visible that even the staff at the animal shelter asked about my approach and how I had helped him.
Some time later, he was diagnosed with cancer. I cared for him until the very end, with medication, changing the diet, attending emergency veterinary visits, and monitoring his condition closely. My priority was always to make him as comfortable, happy, and loved as possible.
For two years, I also cared for a French Bulldog while she was being rehomed. During that time, she suffered a herniated disc that required surgery. I continued looking after her throughout her recovery until she was healthy enough to move into her new forever home.
Your dog will stay in a spacious apartment with a large living area and a balcony. I have everything needed to make them feel comfortable, including beds, supplies, and plenty of toys.
I live very close to my office, so I come home every lunchtime for a toilet break and some fresh air in the communal garden. I provide at least three walks a day, from early mornings to late evenings during warmer weather to avoid the heat. Rain never stops our walks, I’m fully equipped with rain gear and happy to head out in any weather. On weekends, I love taking them on long forest hike whenever appropriate.
I typically walk around 10 km per day, but I always adapt the exercise routine to each dog’s age, breed, size, energy level, and individual needs.
I also have a car equipped to transport pets safely, whether it’s for an adventure or a veterinary appointment.
My own dog enjoyed homemade meals prepared with fresh ingredients such as turkey, sweet potatoes, and carrots, and I’m happy to follow any dietary routine your dog requires.
Above all, I care for every dog as if they were my own, with patience, kindness, attention to detail, and genuine love. My goal is always to make them feel safe, comfortable, and happy while they’re in my care.

Hi! I am originally from the Philippines and moved to Luxembourg two years ago, specifically in Rue des Romains, Strassen. Back home, I grew up surrounded by animals and cared for many pets, including both cats and dogs. Because of this, being around animals feels very natural to me, and I genuinely enjoy looking after them and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved.
I am a patient, gentle, and attentive person, and I always take the time to understand each pet’s personality and needs. I live alone in a studio apartment in Luxembourg, which provides a calm and quiet environment where pets can feel relaxed and receive plenty of individual attention.
There are several parks around my area, which is perfect for regular walks. I truly love walking and enjoy taking dogs outside for exercise, fresh air, and exploration, while ensuring their safety at all times. I also have a flexible work arrangement and can work from home, allowing me to spend more time with pets during the day and give them consistent care and companionship. It is also an advantage that I live alone in my apartment.
My services include:

Pet sitting in my apartment (only 1 pet at a time to ensure maximum attention and care; this also includes regular dog walks for around 1 to 2 hours daily; I will also be with the pet most of the time as I will not have other activities while I am pet sitting; regular sending of photos and videos will also be my priority to ensure peace of mind from the owners; can also administer medications on top of feeding the dog with food and water)
Pet visits (can do multiple houses as I have a car and quite flexible in my schedule; can do 30 minutes of pet visit)
Pet walks (there are a lot of parks around my area and I also love walking outside, especially in the forest; can do 1 to 2 hours)

I treat every pet as if they were my own, and their well-being is always my top priority.

About Me

Animals have always been part of my life. My grandmother was a teacher, but honestly her real calling was rescuing strays — she couldn’t walk past a homeless cat or dog and ended up with about 30 animals at one point, all living in her big countryside house with tons of space to roam. I spent a lot of my childhood helping her look after them.

I also had my own rabbits and hamsters growing up, which is where I learned the basics of pet care. And a few years back, my family and I took in an abandoned kitten who’s now a very spoiled, happy 5-year-old — that’s actually her in my profile picture! She lives with my parents now, but she’s still very much mine at heart.

Experience

Between all that, I’ve gotten pretty comfortable with different animals and situations. One highlight was pet-sitting in Greece, looking after local cats — feeding them, keeping them safe, giving them attention. Some photos from that trip are in my gallery if you want to take a look.

Why I’m Here

I’d love to have a pet of my own but can’t right now because of my partner’s allergies — so this is my way of getting my animal fix while giving your pet some real attention in the meantime. Playful, calm, watchful, whatever your pet needs, I’ll treat them like family. Looking forward to meeting your pet!
